2026 Local Author Signing Application Schedule
- Monday, May 5, 2025: Online application OPENS
- Tuesday, August 5, 2025: Online application CLOSES
- Friday, August 29: You receive an email with your application decision on or by this dateÂ
Policies and Reminders
- Before completing an application, please download our free Guide for Local Authors by clicking here.
- The Bookshelf does not offer consignment for authors who have not had an author signing. The best way to sell your book is for you to be here to sell it directly in conversation with customers!
- All adult, young adult, and middle-grade author signings take place on Saturdays from 1 - 3 p.m. and do not include a reading. All children’s picture book signings take place on Saturdays from 11 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. and include a Story Time reading to children. There are no exceptions.Â
- You must pay a nonrefundable $60 author fee to have a signing.Â
- We have a limited number of local author signing slots available. Due to the high volume of applications and requests we receive, we are unable to accommodate every local author who applies or inquires about a signing.Â
- We ask that you kindly not call the store to inquire about your application status after applying. After you apply, you will receive an email with your decision on or by Friday, August 29. Thank you for being patient!
